The Tribal Foundation Nagercoil (Kanyakumari Dist.) adopts a hands-on approach to meet the region’s environmental and cultural challenges through educational programmes and forest cleaning campaigns planned  by educationist S S Davidson.

Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, just as the adjoining mountain region of Kerala, is covered by beautiful forests whose legal protection needs to be matched by respectful attitudes of its inhabitants.

The widespread use and random disposal of plastic bags interferes with the delicate eco-systems that are so vital to the health and prosperity of all inhabitants, tribals and non-tribals alike. The consumption of plastic has become a leading cause of disease and a slow, painful yet wholly avoidable death among India’s livestock just as the wildlife of which India rightly prides itself.
